Troop 1 Greenville, RI has been serving the youth of our community since 1928. 

Train them, trust them, and let them lead is a foundational Scouting philosophy that youth leaders should be properly trained, trusted with responsibility, and empowered to lead. This allows Scouts to make decisions and learn from their successes and failures.

Troop 1 Greenville is commited to being a Scout Led Troop. This is where Scouts lead other Scouts in the planning and execution of campouts, meetings, service projects, activities, and other scouting events under the guidance and support of adults. We provide Scouts with the opportunity to practice leadership and become responsible for the program, themselves, and their fellow Scouts.
